The theme of this month’s luncheon is local government and empowering citizens to be involved. As such, we are pleased to hear from Dr. Shane Ruebush of Madison Informed Citizens and Sonya Harris, a trustee with the Blackfoot School Board. Dr. Ruebush will discuss the importance of understanding planning and zoning laws and what’s happening locally. Trustee Harris will discuss what’s happening in education and the importance and power of the school board, which deals with curriculum including sex education and critical race theory.
Join us for our second Madison Liberty Luncheon on Thursday, June 17, 2021. The event will be from 12:00 – 1:30 p.m., with the last 30 minutes reserved for Q&A with the speakers. Again, we will hold the luncheon in the Research and Business Development Center’s training room at Rexburg City Hall located at 35 N. 1st E, Rexburg, Idaho. Madison Liberty Luncheons are held the third Thursday of each month.
