House Bill 313 – Acupuncture Licensing

On January 13, 2020, House Bill 313 (H0313) was introduced at the request of Ms. Kelley Packer with Idaho’s Bureau of Occupational Licences.

This legislation proposes to amends section three of the Idaho code, which lists reasons acupuncture licenses may be suspended or revoked, the phrase “involving moral turpitude” is replaced with “that reflects on the qualifications, functions, or duties of an acupuncturist.” Section three also adds that if an acupuncturist has had a license suspended or revoked in another state or country, he/she could be denied a license in Idaho; or have their license revoked or suspended.

H0313 was reported out of the House Health and Welfare Committee on January 20, 2020, with a “Do Pass” recommendation.
