On January 11, 2019, the Health and Welfare committee for the Idaho House of Representatives voted 7 to 6 to mandate meningitis vaccines for high school seniors.
Dr. Ron Nate, a senior fellow for the Madison Liberty Insitute (MLI), shares his thoughts on the mandate and encourages citizens to contact their local representatives. Whether you are for or against vaccines, this is a matter of freedom and liberty. The Idaho State Constitution says that medical decisions are best left to individuals and families both in terms of treatment and provider. Vaccinations should be no different.
